All of our offices will be closed Monday, December 24th and Tuesday, December 25th in observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We will be open for regular hours starting Wednesday, December 26th,  2018.

Our office will also be closed Tuesday, January 1, 2019, for New Year’s Day.

We would like to thank all of our patients for making 2018 a phenomenal year.  In 2018 we added 3 locations and helped hundreds of new patients.  Together we lost thousands of pounds and we know 2019 will be even better.

We are happy to announce that we have added Monday hours to our North Hills clinic.  New patient or medication refills appointments are now available Monday thru Friday.  Our general weigh-in and B-12 injections hours on Monday is 10am-4pm starting now.

We will be available every day for shots and weigh-ins.  Remember that in order to get a refill on diet medications or HCG, you must be there when there is a provider (Dr. Cooper,  Lauren or Ashley, our physician assistant).  Please check online or call the office to make sure a provider is there if you are wanting a refill or come in for an appointment.

Donate Your Clothes That Are “Too Big”

In continuing with our “Elevation Cares” campaign, we have noticed that many of you are losing so much weight that you probably have clothes that are now too big for you.  We have decided to place a rack in our “weighing room” for those of you who want to get rid of all of your “too big” clothes.

We would like nice, clean, and untorn (unless it’s the style) clothes that are too big for you, so that we may make it available for someone who may be on their way to their goals and in need of “in between clothes”. If you drop off something, take a look at what we have, there may be something that you want… if so, just take it.

We encourage people to not hold on to their bigger clothes.  If you donate them and get them out of your closet,  you are more likely to keep the weight off.

So come in and browse our gently used clothes and if you need to try them on, you can! This is our way of saying “Congratulations” on your weight loss.   You do not need to be a patient to participate, so if you bring someone, they can look too!

 

New Weight Loss Office Now Open in the South Hills

We have some very exciting news!  We are opening our new (fifth!) office location in Pittsburgh’s South Hills!  Our new office is located in the Shoppes at Caste Village plaza in Whitehall.

We are accepting new and returning patient appointments starting this Friday, 11/16/2018.  B-12 shots will be available a couple days earlier starting this Wednesday, 11/14/2018.  If you’ve been waiting for us to make it to the area, make sure to come and see us by scheduling below:

Fall Is Here!

Fall is here! As we welcome to shorter days, crisp air and colorful leaves, we should think of the new season as a chance for a fresh start to your healthy habits.  As we pack up our swimsuits and flip flops and bring out those sweaters and toboggans, let’s not use the change in wardrobe as an excuse to forget our fitness goals. Some of us tend to gain weight in the summer even though we seem to be more active thanks in large part to, barbecues, graduation parties, weddings, and other gatherings. Fall, however, is the perfect time to undo the damage, since while Summers tend to stay busy Fall affords many of us more opportunity to slow down and refocus on our health and our families.

Below are a few Fall tips for getting the most out of the season:

  • Pumpkins aren’t just for decorating–they are rich in phytosterols, and loaded with vitamins A and C. Some studies show that adding pumpkin into an already balanced diet can lower cholesterol.
  • Don’t forget to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.  Your skin will thank you and so will your immune system especially in the cool windy weather.  Probiotics have been known to boost our immune system which seems to always be worse in the fall.  You know another source of immunity booster? Pumpkin!
  • Turn the computers off and put your sneakers on and go outside.  Nothing is better than walking with the crisp air and fall foliage.  Spending time outdoors have been known to improve your concentration and your mood, especially as the daylight hours diminish.

  • If you must perform yard work, you can also use that as an alternative to a workout in a pinch.  For a 150 pound person, 30 minutes of raking leaves, or planting/weeding, or playing with the little ones can each easily burn up to 150 calories. (Just wait until you see how many calories you can burn shoveling snow in a few months)

  • Autumn veggies are filled with heart-healthy vitamins.  Try roasting fall veggies with a little oil and salt & pepper, the extra fiber will also help avoid the urge to overindulge in all of the pumpkin spice treats we get surrounded by this time of year.

Fall doesn’t have to be the season that we dread just because it gets colder and grayer.  With these tips, we can make fall a fun, healthy time of year.

MAKE SURE THAT UNDER NEWS FEED IT IS SET TO “Public” If it is not set to Public we will not be able to see it and you will not be entered to win the drawing.  It does not make your Facebook page public, just this check-in.

 Lastly, you just need to share, and just like that, you are entered to win a $50 Amazon card.  It is as easy as that!

Labor Day

All of our offices will be closed on Monday, September 3, 2018, in observance of Labor Day.  We will open regular hours on Tuesday, except for Green Tree, which will reopen on Wednesday in accordance with our regular schedule.
