Botox

What is Botox?
Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) is a neuromodulator that works by temporarily blocking nerve signals to targeted facial muscles. This relaxation of the muscles helps smooth dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated expressions, such as frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. Treatments are quick, minimally invasive, and require little to no downtime. Most patients begin to notice results within 3–7 days, with optimal effects lasting approximately 3–4 months.

Why Patients Love Botox
Botox offers predictable, subtle, and natural looking results when administered by trained medical professionals. Patients appreciate its quick treatment time, minimal discomfort, and ability to achieve a refreshed appearance without surgery or significant downtime. Consistent treatments can also help prevent the formation of deeper lines over time.

What to Expect at Your Appointment
Your provider will begin with a brief consultation to review your goals, medical history, and treatment plan. The injections themselves take only a few minutes. You can return to normal activities immediately after treatment, though it’s recommended to avoid rubbing the treated area or strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Stay upright (no lying down) for 4 hour after treatment to prevent the Botox from migrating. Most patients see visible results within 3–7 days, with full effects by 2 weeks.

Does the treatment hurt?
Most patients describe the sensation as a quick pinch or tiny sting. The needle is very fine, and any discomfort is brief.

How soon will I see results?
You may start to notice results within 3–7 days, with full effects visible around two weeks after treatment.

How long do results last?
Results typically last about 3–4 months, depending on the individual’s metabolism and muscle activity.

We will ask you to send in a picture (we will explain the details in a response email) and we will get back to you with what our suggested form of treatment will be.  With that, you will be told the approximate number of units that will be needed and the total price.  This must be done before you come in to have your consultation and treatment, to ensure that we have adequate product on hand.

Botox Units Chart

**Units of Botox vary from person to person.  Some patients have larger facial muscles than others and will require more Botox to get the same effect and longevity of results.  Men tend to have larger and stronger facial muscles than women and men almost always require more Botox. Some patients will metabolize their Botox faster than others and will require more Botox units.  Some patients are very sensitive to Botox and will require fewer Botox units for the same desired effect. The right amount of Botox for you takes some trial and error between you and your injector.
