Ashley is originally from a town 35 miles north of the city of Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from Butler Senior High School in the year 2000 with an interest in becoming a nurse. She initially attended Drexel University’s five-year Co-op Nursing program in Philadelphia, PA. However, she realized that the distance from home was too much. She returned to Pittsburgh, PA to continue her education earning her diploma in Nursing from UPMC St. Margaret’s School of Nursing in 2005.
She then spent the next 15 years working mainly in Intensive Care Units within the city of Pittsburgh. Throughout the years, she has also gained experience in interventional radiology, hemodialysis, pediatrics, and Brain Trauma research with the University of Pittsburgh. In May 2012, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chatham University. Advancing her education had always been a goal of hers. In April 2020, she graduated from Chamberlain University with her Master of Science in Nursing: Family Nurse Practitioner Specialty Track. Throughout all of her years in health care, Ashley has become a big believer in preventative care and equipping patients with as much knowledge as possible to make educated decisions about their health.
In the fall of 2023, Ashley started working for Elevation Medical Weight Loss and it has been a great experience thus far. It has been very rewarding in just this short of a time to see patients accomplish their weight loss goals and make healthy lifestyle changes to better their health and lives.
Alongside health care, another passion of Ashley’s is photography. While her interest in photography started at a very young age; it wasn’t until she had children of her own that she dove deeper into this passion to capture the precious moments that go by so quickly for both her family and also for others.
