Adam P., Medical Assistant & Gym Manager

Adam is originally from Du Bois Pennsylvania.  He moved to Pittsburgh in 2017. Growing up, he always struggled with weight, his eating habits, and the lack of information on how to properly do something about it, with lasting effects. In 2014, he weighed in at over 400lbs and seeing this number motivated Adam to change his eating, sleeping, and exercise habits, to great results. He lost over 100lbs on his own in just over 1 year. Soon after that,  Adam started working with a personal trainer who taught him how to get the most out of his workouts. He was taught how to track his calories and exercise properly. Within 2 short years of working with his trainer, he had dropped an additional 90 lbs and had put on at least 35 lbs of muscle. Today, Adam maintains a healthy weight for his height and age, and no one would ever guess that at one point in time, he weighed 400+ lbs.

Adam started working with Elevation Medical in the fall of 2018 as just a Medical Assistant,  where he found out very quickly that everything he had learned over years of trial and error, grit and determination, was all information consolidated and easily shared with those patients who come through the doors seeking help with their weight.

To this day Adam is doing everything he can for the patients that he interacts with to try and lessen the overwhelming feeling some people can have when approaching medical professionals about such sensitive topics, like weight loss.

Outside of the office, Adam can be found in any patch of woods in the Pittsburgh area where he can ride his mountain bike with his friends in. When he’s not being active, Adam can be found at home, being an attentive and loving Cat Dad to his goofy- floofy kitty named Vanilla!
